Sunday school 10 a. m., Frank Jackson, __Continued on Back Page_ THE AMERICAN WAY IMPRESSIVE A large crowd turned out for the joint meeting of the Try on Kiwanis and Rotary clubs on Fri day at 1 p m., at Sunnydale when War Bond chairman Julian B. Hester put on an interesting pro gram. Mr. Hester recognized a number of citizens who have con tributed time and money to the success of the War Bond cam paign. He said that every per son who had bought as much as a Savings Stamp was doing some thing to help win the war. Follow ing the delicious meal motion pic tures were shown. Chas C.West gave a short neel of the Polk County selectees being sent away from the local draft board office where they were served refresh ments by girls and presented gifts of cross and chain and prayer book; also in the picture were the Boy Scouts who con ducted a campaign to secune pledges for the purchase of War Bonds and Stamps. F. I. Barber of Forest City showed an impres sive film with sound effects pre senting the need of working and fighting to preserve the American Way of Life. Mr. Barber stated that the picture was available to schools ori other organizations free if they make application to . the Coca-Cola Bottling Co., at Forest City. Visiting Rotary and Kiwanis guests were present from Dallas, Texas., Columbia, S. C., Miami, Fla., Winston - Salem, Spartan burg, Panama City and. Chunking, China.
